Who’s Who from Indian MSME and Manufacturing Sector participated in the event 

Mumbai. 16th July was the significant day for the MSME and manufacturing Sector of India. A mega event “India SME Manufacturing Summit” organised in Mumbai by SME Chamber of India in association with Federation of Indian SME Associations. The event was held at Hotel Sahara Star with a huge participation Indian MSME and manufacturing sector. Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Eknath Shinde inaugurated the program through video conferencing.

Shri Chandrakant Salunkhe – Founder and President, SME Chamber of India and Federation of Indian SME Associations as well as Maharashtra Industrial & Economic Development Association has warmly welcomed all participants and dignitaries present at the Event.

In his welcome and introductory address speech Shri Chandrakant Salunkhe presented his serious thoughts on the strengths, opportunities and need of the day for MSME and manufacturing sector.

Shri Salunkhe said here, “under strong leadership of Shri Narendra Modi Indian SMEs and manufacturing sector is keeping fast pace. SME Chamber of India by supporting to Indian MSMEs is trying to accomplish the dream project of Hon’ble Prime Minister to make “India as a manufacturing hub” and brand “Made in India” products for international markets. We are trying our best to support Indian MSMEs and manufacturing sector in transformation.

Shri Chandrakant Salunkhe said, through SME Chamber of India and Federation of Indian SME Associations we are empowering SME and manufacturing sector in a strong way. We are guiding them for better performance and help them to reduce expenses, use skills and knowledge, improve operational excellence & productivity, increase revenues, boost maintenance efficiency, decrease shutdown, make production more consistent & achieve resilience in the business activities.

Eminent speakers from banking, finance, technology, Government of Maharashtra, corporates, logistics, supply chain, industrial parks, exports, SMEs and industrial education sectors participated in the event.

Shri VS Parthasarathy, Vice Chairman, Allcargo Logistics addressed the event on GATI & SHAKTI for better business growth of SMEs – Strategies and initiative.

Shri Popat Malinker, Joint CEO, MIDC, Government of Maharashtra in his address thrown light on the MIDC initiatives for MSMEs. He said that MIDC provides up to 20 percent discount to registered MSME units for buying industrial plots. He also suggested measures to solve the problems being faced by the heads of MSME units present at the event.

Ms Andrea Kuhn, Counsel General of Consulate General of South Africa addressed the event on Trade Opportunities for Indian SMEs in South Africa. Shri Sanjay Shah – Chief Operating Officer, Wadhwani Foundation addressed and given presentation on the topic Building a Community Platform for the SME ecosystem to help enable engagement, learn & develop within the community.

Shri Manoj Kumar Sinha, General Manager (NW-1), State Bank of India has enlightened SME participants of the event with his speech on the topic “Role of SBI for supporting manufacturers & SMEs for better growth”. He also taken the Questions of the participants and answered them well in a very polite way for their issues of finance. Shri Sinha also shared his Mobile number publicly from the dais with participants of SME World to resolve their issues 24×7 which created huge round of applause from the participants.

Executive Vice President of Advantage India, Shri Samir Sathe, Wadhwani Foundation has given a presentation on SME Performance from 2018-2022.

Anurag Sinha, Circle Business Head of Airtel Business promoted his brand with speaking on his topic “Powering Growth with Technology”.

In other planetary sessions, Chief General Manager of India of SIDBI, Shri Vivek Kumar Malhotra spoken on Role of SIDBI for supporting SMEs for better growth. Shri Siladitya Chaudhary, Head (SME Division), SBI General Insurance Co. Ltd. addressed issue of Insurance Products and Services for advantages and benefits for SMEs. Dr P Anbalagan, IAS, Chief Executive Officer, MIDC, Government of Maharashtra, “Business and Investment opportunities for manufacturing and SME sector in Maharashtra”.

Shri Joyjit Gupta – Sr. VP & Regional Business Head – Head, Branch Banking, Kotak Mahindra Mahindra Bank, spoken on Nation Builders & Kotak Bank Partnership. Shri Soumojit Basu (SMB Sales Manager – West, Amazon Web Services) given his services presentation. Other sponsors and participant also presented their product presentations.

Audience form Indian MSME and manufacturing sector was seen seriously involved in the event. The participants also acquired knowledge related to MSME and manufacturing sector while doing good business networking at India SME Manufacturing Summit. Participants also got the opportunity to meet Shri Chandrakant Salunkhe personally and to discuss strengths, opportunities and need of the Indian MSME and manufacturing sector. SME Chamber of India’s Annual event India SME Manufacturing Summit was a big successful event as felt by the warm involvement and interest of the participants. SME Chamber of India also celebrated here its 29th Foundation Day.
